I’ve been reading “Saga” since the beginning (still have all the floppies!) and this series never fails to excite, to bring wonderment, to surprise, to disgust, and to do so many other things!  Definitely worth picking up if you’ve been following the series, and if you want to get your non-comics-reading friends into it, pick up the first trade for $9.99 and pass it along!

The Walking Dead #146 – Image – $2.99

“A breaking point reached.”  Maggie none too happy with Rick, obvs.  This book continues to charge in new directions!

Star Wars: Darth Vader #9 – Marvel – $3.99

The Dark Lord at a crossroads!  The second-biggest “Star Wars” book you’ll get this week!  What’s the biggest?

Journey to Star Wars: The Force Awakens – Star Wars: Shattered Empire #1 (of 4) – Marvel – $3.99

STK682625 Image

Guaranteed…biggest book of the month!  Revealed for the first time in the new Star Wars canon, what happened after “Return of the Jedi”!  I’m watching the original trilogy on Blu-ray right now and can’t wait to read this!

Vinyl Idolz – Say Anything: Lloyd Dobler Vinyl Figure – Funko – $19.99

STK673684 Image

You never know where John Cusack is gonna show up next.  Who would have thought it would be a vinyl figure from Funko?  Just in case you were wondering how accurate the vinyl figure is compared to the real thing:

Hmmmm….not bad!  Impressive, even!

Coming to video stores Tuesday, September 8:

Gotham: Season 1 – Warner Home Entertainment/DC Comics – $45.99 (Blu-Ray and Digital HD copy)

Gotham: The Complete 1st Season (With Bonus Content) (Only at Best Buy) (Blu-ray)

Four Blu-ray discs cover the first season of FOX’s “Gotham”, a series taking place in pre-“Batman” days.  Ben McKenzie plays “James Gordon”, opposite Donal Logue’s “Harvey Bullock”.  David Mazouz is the young “Bruce Wayne”, and Camren Bicondova “Selina Kyle”.  The breakout star of the show has to be Robin Lord Taylor as “Oswald Cobblepot”, otherwise known as “The Penguin”!  And not to forget, Jada Pinkett Smith as “Fish Mooney”!  Lots of great characters, the stories are a bit haphazard at times, but overall worth getting into.  Second season starts September 21/15!

So that’s what’s out this week!  Tell the world what you’re getting with a comment to the blog, and be back here next Sunday/Monday for a new 4-Colour Forward!
