Groo: Friends and Foes TP Vol. 1 – Dark Horse – $14.99
I’ve been reading comics long enough to remember when Groo was introduced waaaaaay back in Eclipse Comics’ Destroyer Duck #1 (oh how I wish I still had that book in my collection!) and I followed Sergio Argones’ “barbarian” as the book switched publishers – Pacific Comics, Marvel Comics (under the Epic banner), Image Comics, and finally landing at Dark Horse. Sergio, along with Mark Evanier, Stan Sakai and Tom Luth, have stayed as a team on the book since the beginning, and knowing the history of this character (although not necessary) certainly gives you background on all the jokes (cheese dip and mulching come to mind). This trade paperback collects the first four issues of Groo’s latest maxi-series!

Anything with Deadpool is hot! I predict more of the same here! Tim Seeley and Elmo Bondoc, don’t prove me wrong!
Miracleman by Gaiman and Buckingham #1 – Marvel – $4.99
That is one gorgeous cover by Mark Buckingham, and he does the art inside too! This begins the Miracleman reprints through Neil Gaiman and Buckingham’s run, beginning with Miracleman (1985) #17!
Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor #15 – Titan – $3.99
It’s the “Year One” Season Finale, with Gabby, Cindy and the Doctor facing their greatest challenge yet!
Aliens/Vampirella #1 (of 6) – Dynamite/Dark Horse – $3.99
Those Aliens can seem to handle everything! Everything, that is, except a strong female lead pitted against them! And Vampirella seems to fit that description…! Oh snap!

The baddest, BMX-riding bully ever to roam the halls of Springfield Elementary! And he demanded his own one-shot! And here it is!
Rachel Rising #36 – Abstract Studios – $3.99
Another series not enough people are reading! I didn’t get on board from the beginning either and have regretted it ever since! Terry Moore’s story and art keeps you coming back for more (no pun intended, but what the hey…it’s my column)!
Star Trek: The Original Series: Phaser Replica Universal Remote – The Wand Company – $149.99
